We offer a professional bow rehairing service for violins, violas, cellos and basses, using premium quality Mongolian horsehair. Each batch is carefully selected before the rehairing process to remove substandard hairs and ensure the best possible result.
The bows are delivered without rosin applied, to avoid mixing different brands, as each musician has their own personal preferences.
For bass bows, we work with both white and black horsehair, according to the musician’s choice.
We carry out basic bow repairs such as tip plate replacement, mother-of-pearl inlay replacement, and frog screw repair or replacement.
For complex repairs – such as frog restoration, tip cracks, issues with metal fittings, or problems with the camber of the stick – we collaborate with specialised workshops and can arrange safe transport of the bow.
Every violin bow that leaves our workshop goes through a detailed quality control process, in which we assess both the materials used and the structural integrity of each piece. We carefully check the bow’s camber and balance, as well as the proper functioning of the frog and screw. We also meticulously inspect the quality of the rehairing.
Only after passing all these checks will the bow be considered ready to leave the workshop.
